The Career Matrix tool is nothing new nor complicated. But it is a tool that helps clients get a clearer picture before making a career decision.
I usually like to use #values , motivated skills, behavioural leaning (or some call it #personality) and drivers on the matrix. Then I get clients to score each of them on a scale of 1 to 10.
It may not give them the answer, but it usually gives them a lot clearer picture of how to make that decision.
In this HBR article by Bill Barnett, we read about other criteria you could use to get a clearer picture.
If you’re at that crossroads of making a career decision, give this simple tool a shot.
